UniWorld International School was delighted to host 12 Primary 4 and 5 students from our KinderWorld Group of schools; Singapore International School in Vietnam from 25 to 26 July 2013 as part of their Study Tour to Singapore and Malaysia.
Students were warmly welcomed through an Ice Breaker Game where students from the 2 schools cheerfully introduced themselves to one another. Educational activities were organised throughout the study tour where students learnt about Malaysia and toured various attractions in Johor.
As part of promoting cultural learning, students were introduced to festivals celebrated in Malaysia and had the opportunity to try on traditional costumes such as the Malay sarong and Indian sari. Students also tasted local delicacies like the Murukku, Ang Ku Kueh, Popiah, Kuih seruling and Karipap and played traditional games such as Takraw, Gasing, Guli and Batu Seremban.
Students visited Legoland and Kulai Fruit Farm where they enjoyed the trilling rides and discover different species of fruits grown in this climate. Each day ended with self-reflection and sharing where every student wrote a letter to their parents and painted a canvas drawing signifying their visit to Malaysia.
